Renmin University of China School of Information is founded in 1978. The school consists of the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Economic Information Management. It offers five undergraduate programs: Information Management and Information Systems, Computer Science and Technology, Information Security, Software Engineering, and Data Science and Big Data Technology. All of these programs are nationally recognized and are among the top undergraduate programs in Beijing. The school has two doctoral programs: Computer Science and Technology, and Management Science and Engineering; one master's program in Software Engineering; and doctoral and master's degree programs in Electronic Information. It also has a postdoctoral research station in Computer Science and Technology. The Computer Science program is a nationally recognized specialty program and a key discipline in Beijing.
The School of Information is the first institution in China to be named after "Information" and is known for its application of mathematics and information technology in the field of economic management. It is a pioneer in teaching and research in the field of database and is a leading institution in China in disciplines such as databases and big data technology, management information systems, and information security.
The school has a strong faculty with more than 60 teachers, including 4 national-level talent project members, 4 recipients of the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents program, 1 "Teaching Master" in Beijing, 1 Beijing Science and Technology Rising Star, and 2 outstanding talents in Beijing. 20 teachers have been selected for the Renmin University of China Outstanding Scholars Program. The school also has excellent adjunct professors from internationally renowned universities and institutions such as Microsoft Asia Research Institute.
To enhance communication and exchange among college students, deepen their understanding of the specialties offered by the School of Information, leverage the school's advantages in related fields, create opportunities for outstanding students to engage with cutting-edge disciplines, stimulate students' professional interests, and help students establish future development directions and goals, the School of Information of Renmin University of China plans to hold the "2024 Outstanding College Students Research Camp" from July 5th to 7th, 2024.

II. Application Requirements
1. Support for the leadership of the Communist Party of China, good moral character, compliance with laws and regulations, no records of violations or disciplinary actions during undergraduate studies, and good physical health.
2. Applicants must be third-year undergraduate students (graduating in 2025), ranking at the top in both their major and overall qualities.
3. Applicants' scores in the National English Level 6 Examination (TEM-8) should ideally be 426 or above (or demonstrate equivalent proficiency in other foreign language examinations).
4. Applicants should have a strong interest in the applied field and possess strong or potential research abilities.
5. Applicants for the direct doctoral program should be recommended by two associate professors or higher-ranking experts in the field.
III. Application Materials

2. Resume (provide a complete personal resume, including but not limited to academic background and research experience).
3. Official undergraduate transcript and ranking (provide the existing ranking from the undergraduate institution).
4. Two recommendation letters from associate professors or higher-ranking teachers .
5. Other supporting documents (representative academic papers, certificates of awards, etc., that reflect academic achievements).
6. English proficiency certificate (English Level 6 certificate or other foreign language proficiency certificates).
IV. Application Process
1. Register online and fill in the information via the Renmin University of China 2024 Summer Camp Registration System:

2. Paper copies of application materials are not required for this research camp application.
3. Scan and upload all original application materials to the research camp application system.
4. Each applicant can only apply for one program. Applicants cannot simultaneously apply for master's and doctoral programs; otherwise, the application will not be accepted.
5. The list of participants will be announced on the website of the School of Information, Renmin University of China.
