Operations Research and Cybernetics Team

Operations Research and Cybernetics is closely linked practical application of mathematics, its distinguishing feature is based on the mathematical theory of optimization and control problems to study and solve the system. Including the Operational Research and Cybernetics two main branches.

Operations research, also known as management science, is by looking at the way the organization runs, using mathematical models, computer models and other analytical tools to co-ordinate the planning, applied science to make a best decision. Operations research contains a number of branches, People's University of Operational Research Division consists of three distinctive branches. First, the stochastic optimization and Game, the direction of Professor Long Yonghong, Zhang Chunhua lecturer; the second is uncertain system optimization, and in economics, management and finance applications, the direction of Associate Professor Gao Jinwu; third graph theory and combinatorial optimization The direction Wei Erling Associate Professor, Lv Xuezheng lecturer and lecturer Li Hao (America PhD).

Cybernetics is based on mathematics and computer as the main tool to study and analyze the social, economic, financial, industrial, military, and other system design and control issues. 1948 internationally renowned mathematician N. Wiener published "Cybernetics" is the cornerstone of control theory book, 1954 Chinese scientist Qian's "engineering cybernetics" was published in the United States of cybernetics in engineering technology laid the theoretical the successful application of the great achievements of aviation, aerospace and other fields and control theory are inseparable. Because of the complexity of the social, economic and other systems, the control application of the theory is facing enormous challenges, but also provides a broad space for the development of the discipline.
