刘玲教授是数据库顶级会议VLDB 2012的大会主席，她还在IEEE和ACM学会组织的众多数据工程、分布式计算、服务计算及云计算领域的国际会议上担任大会出席和程序委员会主席。她是在数据库和数据管理领域最有权威参考价值的五卷本的Encyclopedia of Database Systems (Springer出版)著作的主编，刘玲教授还在多个国际期刊上担任编委工作，诸如Distributed and Parallel Databases (DAPD, Springer), Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing (JPDC), IEEE Transactions on Service Computing (TSC), ACM Transactions on Web (TWEB) and Wireless Network (WINET, Springer). 她曾是ACM SIGMOD record的主编, ACM SIGMOD Executive Committee成员，IEEE TKDE和Int. Journal of Very Large Databases的副编委。

荣誉获奖
Ling Liu教授主编或参与编写著作20余部，在数据库、分布式系统和Internet计算等领域的国际期刊和国际会议上共发表论文300余篇。她先后获得ICDCS 2003、WWW 2004最佳论文奖， 2005 Pat Goldberg最佳论文奖, 2008年软件工程和数据工程国际会议最佳论文奖。她发表在2004 IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering上的论文 “Peertrust: Supporting reputation-based trust for peer-to-peer electronic communities”迄今有超过924次的引用；发表在2003年IEEE Peer to Peer Computing上的论文“TrustMe: Anonymous Management of Trust Relationships in Decentralized P2P Systems”有超过234的引用；发表在第14届World Wide Web 国际会议上的论文“TrustGuard: countering vulnerabilities in reputation management for decentralized overlay networks”有超过215次的引用。
